Collingwood is the central hub of the region and a primary economic driver. As a result, many of the listings that are bought and sold are often single family homes in all price points. However, as a result of the huge influx of people into the area, we also have numerous condo corporations in Collingwood Ontario, both recreational and permanent properties.
The Blue Mountains includes a large geographic area that includes Blue Mountain Village and Blue Mountain Resorts. The listings found in this area have traditionally been recreational. However, as more and more people move to the area, they are looking to have permanent homes and condos with close proximity to the ski areas.
Thornbury is a smaller, funky town that has experienced a huge influx of amenities in the last few years. Some of the best restaurants and craft shops in the area can be found in Thornbury Ontario. Again, many single family homes are bought and sold and a good proportion of recreational condos as well.
The larger municipal areas of Clearview and Grey Highlands offer homes and properties that are a little more rural with potential for hobby farms, raw land and acreage, and country estates. You have your choice however, of how close you want to be to one of the towns or small cities in the area.
